About this blog
I'm putting this together in hopes that I can put (digital) pen to paper in a few crucial ways which I've not yet managed to do:
- A public devlog through which I can share out my progress on my biggest personal coding project, plots.club, which I'll be the first to admit is not all that big. Some findings, some reflections, some "this is neat"s, and perhaps a few ideas which I might be able to refine and turn into bigger ideas or knowledge transfers for the greater good.
- A personal catalog of things I've been enjoying in life. Infinite scope here; this might be food, drink, music, clothing, mindsets, or mantras.
- A "catch-all" personal blog on my goings-on. I don't think I'll treat it as a journal so much as I will a way to keep myself honest regarding the things on which I wish to make progress. I have a personal journal in which I actually log and reflect on my day-to-day, but don't muse as much, so to speak.
About me
I'm a father, a husband, a musician, a software engineer, and a former music educator. I like to think that one of my greatest strengths is my curiosity, though I definitely consider myself a "master of none" well before I consider myself a "jack of all trades."
If I'm not spending time with my family, I'm likely trying my best to learn something, whether that's in a book, through a pair of headphones, via my own software development practice, or behind a drum set.
If I need a break from all of the above, I'm walking the local bike trails or playing video games (though anymore, it feels like I spend more time trying to optimize and tinker than I play).
